Monthly Wrap-Up: December 2020

Wow. I haven’t done one of these since May this year. It just goes to show how tough this year has been, but also weirdly how much it has flown by.

Let’s get on to the wrap-up!

24.) Book Beginnings:

New movies/series I watched:

Raised by Wolves: One of the weirdest shows I have ever watched in my life, but I was also fascinated at the same time. It’s dark, it’s gritty, it’s gory and it doesn’t shy away from exploring grim themes. If a season 2 is on the way, I will definitely be watching it.

The Wilds: One of the best shows I’ve watched all year, not because of the acting or cinematography (though there was nothing wrong with it) but because it explores it themes well and gets its message across perfectly. While watching this, I had an intense and weird feeling in my stomach, not because it was bad, but because I understand everything this show tried to get across. If anyone wants to understand why exactly it’s so difficult being a woman in this world, I will recommend them this show.

The Challenge: I am a sucker for drama and reality television. Throw in some extreme fitness challenges and I’m in.

The Great British Bake-Off: Well done, Brits. I’m now a part of the bake-off fan community. This show was exactly what I needed during this year, sweet and fluffy and endearingly wholesome.

Camp Getaway: Once again, the drama. Loved it, reminded me of better times, and would definitely watch season 2.

The Mandalorian: One of the most visually stunning series I have ever watched, the worldbuilding is incredible and I would die for Grogu and Din Djarin.

Random Stuff I Want To Mention:

I did really well in my final semester and I’m incredibly proud of myself! I 100% thought I was going to fully fail my science exam, but I actually didn’t do too bad. My math was also really good and I’m so glad because my previous semester was a mess.

Now I can actually relax and start blogging again! I missed this community so much!

That’s it!

We should all be incredibly proud of ourselves for making it to the end of the year. I hope next year will be amazing for all of you!

Much love from my side
Xx Alexia
