willow // a book with a magical element, or that cast a spell on you:
The Priory of the Orange Tree was a magical and amazing read from start to finish!
champagne problems // a book filled with glitz and glamour
I’m not completely sure what to say here, but I always imagined that The Selection had a lot of glamour, since the girls had to get all dollied up for the prince!
gold rush // a book featuring unrequited love
I really pitied Emile in The House of Styx, he was madly in love with a girl who didn’t understand how much he loved her.
’tis the damn season // a book with a holiday romance
I’ve never read a book with holiday romance, so I haven’t got anything to put here.
tolerate it // a book you loved, but whose sequel didn’t love you back
The first book was enjoyable, but the second one was quite boring for me; I can’t even remember what happened.
no body, no crime // a book with a murder to be solved
When a dead body is found in a garden close to a party, it’s up to Lily Adler and her friends to find the murderer. A fun, bite-sized mystery novel that anyone can enjoy!
happiness // a book that broke your heart in a good way
Reading about Nesta’s journey to happiness made me cry happy tears for 600 pages!
dorothea // a book with a high school romance
An incredibly powerful book that I couldn’t believe was a debut! The story focuses more on Leigh, but there is some romance between her and Axel.
coney island // a book you can’t wait to be released
WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW EXCITED I AM FOR THIS BOOK.
ivy // a book that understood you deeply
Reading about Malik and his panic attacks made me remember that I’m not alone with my anxiety❤
cowboy like me // a western, or a book with a western thrill
Once again, I don’t think I’ve ever read something like this, so I have nothing to show.
long story story // a book under 300 pages
So many feels in so few pages…
marjorie // a book with a strong family element
Yes, the main character is a villain. Yes, everyone in this book is morally grey. Yes, the found-family in this book is amazingly wholesome.
closure // a book you never want to see again
Almost everything in this book was a no-no for me. I get what the author was going for, but I did not enjoy this book at all.
evermore // a book that healed you
I really don’t know why, but the way SJM writes character arcs break my heart then glues it back together within a few hundred pages. This book dragged me out of a reading slump, so I’m thankful for that!
right where you left me // a book that left you in a serious reading slump
Everyone loves this book, but I hated it and I really don’t know why. Not my cup of tea?
it’s time to go // a book you just couldn’t finish
Interesting concept, boring execution.
