Fake dating and falling in love

Title: Blind Side
Author: Kandi Steiner
Release Date: 15 June 2022
Rating: 4/5 stars

The fake dating trope remains superior and no one can change my mind.

This book was so much better than I ever expected it would be.

Many romance authors struggle with maintaining a decent pace in their books, with some either stretching the story too long and I lose interest, or with some diving right into the romance and leaving no room for the growth of organic chemistry.

Not Kandi Steiner.

Looking back, I realize that Clay and Gianna’s relationship moved quite fast but it never felt like it. They bounced well off of each other, and their interactions were quite entertaining. There was definitely a spark between them since the beginning and I loved how the author took her time to explore the dynamic of their relationship.

The plot was nothing original; both characters using the fake dating trope to each get what they really want, but then falling in love with each other. Luckily, this trope is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE and I would read fifty thousand versions of this with a smile on my face.

This book is definitely not ground-breaking in its originality, but sometimes all you need is a comforting book and this is exactly what Blind Side was for me.

That’s it!

Have you read any books by Kandi Steiner?

Until we meet again!
