sci-fi served with a side of horror

This show had the unfortunate fate of being the first show I watched after 1899 and it definitely had a lot to live up to.

I saw the trailer for this show about a year ago as I was lounging on Youtube and it immediately caught my attention. Mystery and death can be quite intriguing on their own but on the Moon? That ups the ante considerably.

Much like 1899, The Silent Sea is a mystery that is still being unraveled until the very last minute of the very last episode. In a cramped setting where any wrong move can easily kill you and trust is betrayed left and right, the plot of this show can easily grip any viewer.

This show is not for the faint of heart; it doesn’t shy away from death or the fear of the unknown but instead leans into it. There’s no telling if there’s a big, scary monster lurking in the depths and there’s no way of knowing what exactly caused all the death, which is exactly why this show is so scary throughout.

Much like reading slumps, I go through movie/TV slumps as well, but this show blasted away all of my troubles.

This is definitely worth the watch, especially if you like your science fiction served up with a side of horror.
